Elsie Bethea Hobbs
Sumter
Elsie Bethea Hobbs, 78, widow of Donald Hobbs, died Friday, January 18, 2013 at a local nursing facility.
Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Dewey Bert Bethea, and the late Nettie Dial Bethea. Mrs. Hobbs was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church in North Myrtle Beach.
Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Floree Bethea, and Helen Bethea both of Sumter; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Hobbs; two brothers, William Admon Bethea, Sr., and Dewey Leonard Bethea, Sr.; and one sister, Mellie Bethea.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in the Sumter Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
