Dear Cousins Toni, Clay and Nan,

I am so sorry to learn of Sonny's death and I do share your deep sorrow. All of us loved Sonny, but he was especially dear to Mom and Dad. Mom often talked about how he spent so much time with her and Dad when they were first married, and how much they enjoyed him. Later, he would look after me and Pete when he came to visit. Sonny was a part of their wedding as they were married in his parent's home when he was about 7 or 8 years old. Those memories were always very precious to Mom and Dad.

I am sorry we can't be with you, but we are sending our thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathy with much love to you, Clay, Nan and your families.

Sissy

Clay & Nan......I am so sorry to learn of your loss. I know of your pain, as I to have lost both of my dear parents in the recent past.

I just had to add the one light-hearted memory of your father's presence in the Kanawha Valley, the Hi-Lo 'Don't drive by, drive-in" restraunt' It is with such fondness that I remember that place, and the times that were spent there with such good hot dogs and soda! My brother would always remind my father to DRIVE IN each time we were anywhere even close...and would cry profusly if my dad would not abide by his first wish. It is one of my childhood moments....that to this day....is one of the best! Wish it were still apart of the Charlestohn area.

Again, so sorry to hear of your loss. Hope your wonderful memories of your father can sustain you for the future.
