Hazel Hardee Obituary

Hazel Tindal Hardee, 90, of Myrtle Beach, died January 29, 2011 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born August 7, 1920 in Horry County, she was the daughter of the late William Bunyan Tindal and Hester Hucks Tindal, and the wife of Coy D. Hardee, deceased.
Mrs. Hardee was a lifelong member of First Baptist church of Myrtle Beach and retired after 26 years from Grand Strand General Hospital.
Survivors include two daughters, Lou E. Hardee Gans and her husband, Ernie, of Spartanburg, and Frances Evon (Cookie) Hardee Taylor and her late husband, Jerry S., of Kannapolis, N.C.; eight grandchildren, Shari Cravener Lioen and her husband, Lindsay, of Odessa Fla., Denise Cravener Manus of Spartanburg, Tracie Taylor Morris and her husband, Bill, of Kannapolis, N.C., Tiffiny Taylor Sheets and her husband, Dale, of Charlotte, N.C., Christina Louise Hyatt of Spartanburg, Kelly L Gans and his wife, Donna, of Cowpens, S.C., and Robin and David Gans. Mrs. Hardee was the great-grandmother of Lea Morris, and six other great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson.
Mrs. Hardee was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters, Everette Gasque, Eugene Tindal, Thomas Tindal, Caldona Hughes, Joe Tindal and Jack Tindal.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, February 4, 2011 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel, in Murrells Inlet. A Celebration of Life service will immediately follow at 3 p.m., at the funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Bill Adams and the Rev. Sal Barone of First Baptist Church, Spartanburg. Burial will follow in Ocean Woods Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Spartanburg Seniors Dept. or Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
