Howard Johnson Obituary
Myrtle Beach
Howard Charles Johnson age 79, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center of heart failure.
Born in Hastings, MI, he was the eldest son of Howard and Lelah Johnson. Howard proudly served in the United States Air Force for 21 years as a Flight Line Mechanic including a tour of duty in Vietnam and the former Myrtle Beach Air Force Base. He was a member of Forestbrook Baptist Church where he sang in the choir and taught a Men's Sunday school class. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Audrey Stalvey Johnson, a son, David Michael Johnson, brothers, Elwin Johnson and James Johnson and a sister, Carolyn Johnson Kramb.
Howard is survived by his wife, Edna Calder Johnson of Myrtle Beach; a daughter, Sharon Johnson Miller of Winchester, VA; a sister, Margaret Johnson Lamb of Niles MI, a brother, Alan R. Miller and granddaughters, Lisa and Jessica Miller of Winchester, VA; stepchildren, Michael Calder of Gainesville, FL, Linda Harrah of Tampa, FL, Debbie Radford of Murrells Inlet and Bryan Calder of Taylors, SC.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Forestbrook Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Ocean Woods Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel.

In lieu of flowers the family would like memorial contributions made to Forestbrook Baptist Church Family Life Center, 2051 Forestbrook Rd. Myrtle Beach, SC 29588.

Dear Edna and family, Two weeks before his homegoing, Howard told me, "I'm fine." He really wasn't, but today he IS! He was such dear man, and he will be sorely missed. May God comfort you, Edna, and all of the family.
