My Granddaddy was one of kind that's for sure. Growing up, I remember his smile mostly, and the stories he would tell. I love him greatly and I miss him dearly.

I loved visiting Ava and J.B when we were in Supply visiting with Jan and Gregg. J.B. was always genuinely friendly to me and made me comfortable and welcome in his home. He was a truly colorful man who enjoyed telling me stories and his many experiences in life as much as I enjoyed listening to them. More importantly, he was a decent man. I know that J.B. enjoyed his journey here on earth. He will be missed.

I never met J.B. but from the wonderful stories I heard from his daughter, and my good friend Janice, he was someone I wish I had known. My prayers and condolences are sent to the entire Carlisle family. J.B. must have been a great man and father to have raised a daughter to become such a great friend.

There are so many memories to share, but so little time to write them all down. My daddy was the best daddy in all the world and meant more to me than I can express. I'm proud of him for who he was and for what he stood for. He was bold and stood up for right and never made excuses for it. He loved God and my momma and we all will miss him so much. Dad is in paradise now and he hasn't stop shouting, dancing, singing and playing music since he arrived on April 3rd, 2008. He left us while in his garden and without pain and suffering. In a wink of any eye he was gone. Thank you Lord for taking him as he had asked. I love and miss you daddy.
