James Wasson Obituary

LAKE NORMAN, N.C. | James C. ''Jake'' Wasson Jr., died Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at his Lake Norman home, where he and his wife, Catherine "Kay" Gibbs Wasson had resided for 29 years.



In addition to his wife, Mr. Wasson is survived by two sons, James C. "Crunch" Wasson III, Captain, (Retired) U.S. Army, of North Myrtle Beach, Thomas Gibbs Wasson, Colonel, (Retired) U. S. Air Force, and his wife, Susan of Fernandina Beach, Fla.; four grandsons; a sister, Mrs. W.P. (Babe) Alexander; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Thomas A. (Ruby) Wasson, both of Statesville.



Memorial services were held on Sunday, April 4, at Broad Street United Methodist Church in Statesville.



In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund, Broad Street United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 169, Statesville, N.C. 28687.



Lee Funeral Home & Crematory of Little River/North Myrtle Beach is assisting the family with local arrangements.
