Jeffrey Terrell Henderson

CALABASH, N.C. | Jeffrey Terrell Henderson, 57, of Calabash, N.C., died Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at Seacoast Medical Center.



Born on April 9, 1948 in Greenville, Ohio, he was the son of the late Edmund and Mariana Terrell Henderson.



Jeffrey was devoted to his family and supported and encouraged them in all of their endeavors. He loved to play golf and go fishing and was an avid reader and writer. He attended and received his Masters Degree from Western Michigan University, did his undergraduate work at Miami of Ohio University, and had recently retired as an instructor for over 20 years at Kalamazoo Valley Community College in Michigan.



Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Deborah Winter of Calabash, N.C.; two sons, John Henderson and his wife, Heidi, of Charlotte, N.C., James Henderson of East Lansing, Mich.; a daughter, Laura Henderson of Otsego, Mich.; a sister, Sarah Henderson and her family of Lakewood, Ohio; two granddaughters, Paige and Abigail Henderson, and his stepmother, Janet Henderson of Kalamazoo, Mich.



The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday at Lee Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Southeastern Memorial Gardens. Dr. Jim Mezick will officiate.
