I remember on my first mission to Romania having lost my temper and fearing I had caused the Holy Spirit to leave the group. I was in tears on the floor and Jimmy was standing over me when he said “do you really think you have the power to change what God is doing?”
I’ve thought of Jimmy more often than the short time I knew him and it warms my heart every time.

Rev. Morse lived FOR The Lord on earth. Now he lives WITH our Lord in heaven. My husband, Ed Hines, so loved their "chats" at Lakewood. They were blessed to have Thanksgiving together this year at the Lord's table. God Bless Mrs. Morse and family. May you each and your friends be a true support to you in times ahead.

Jimmy taught us to look into the eyes of 'the least of these' ask ourselves how Jesus would serve that person and be Jesus hands and hearts to that person. In words of the gospel according to Stevie Wonder: "I just came to say I love you..."

I am a better Christian, better husband and better man for having had the privilege of serving beside Jimmy, even for a short time. Thank you Peggy and all of your family for sharing him with the world so he could share the gospel where ever God called him.

UNCLE JIMMY he will always be to me even though he isn't my real Uncle. He was one of if not my favorite speaker at Ambassador Camp. In June of 78 Uncle Jimmy spoke at teen week I don't remember all of what he spoke of but I remember he talked about hell and he talked about salvation through Jesus Christ. Since it was the middle part of June at Lake Waccamaw it was hot and humid. During his invitation he told us that if we were to die and go to hell because we didn't have a personal relationship with Christ that we would pray for nights just this hot. Today Campers would not understand that analogy as they now have an air conditioned chapel and cabins. But later that night I could not sleep and I went to my counselor and that very night I gave my life to Christ.
Uncle Jimmy will be greatly missed at Ambassador Camp but I know that he was welcomed by Aunt Sara when he got to heaven and I can hear her saying "Well Sugarfoot I haven't seen you in 200 years just where have you been"
God bless each of you and may He comfort you during this time.
Thank you Uncle Jimmy

Dear Peggy and your entire family
I have many many fine memories of Jimmy and your family, starting with going to school with Cam whom was a dear friend of mine in school.
Then my Mom (Dovie Cross) and I went to Socastee Baptist where he preached.
I received Christ in my heart as he taught us
during vacation bible school.
When my Mom was about to go to Heaven my sister Brenda called Jimmy to tell him and he wasted no time getting there to visit our Mother. He prayed and sang hymns with her, and we are forever grateful. He also preached her funeral which was so nice and we appreciated so much.
Also without hesitation he has done the service at the Lost at Sea Memorial that was formed in honor of my nephew Johnny Brown and others lost at sea persons.
We all loved Jimmy so much! And I know my Mom and Johnny were so glad to see him.
You all are in our thoughts and prayers and we love you all.

Dear Peggy & family,
So sorry to hear about Jimmy's passing. He was a wonderful man of God and loved his Lord with all his heart. As the first Pastor of Socastee Baptist Church he got things rolling in the right direction. It was always a joy to talk with him when our paths crossed, sometimes in my tax office. He will surely be missed by all who knew him. Before long we shall all go to join him on that Heavenly Shore that he is now enjoying with his Lord and Savior. May God richly bless you, keep you in his care, give you peace and comfort your hearts during this time of sorrow and always is my prayer.

Julie and family, I remember the day your dad visited South Pointe Fellowship. After the service, he stopped by the Welcome Center and talked with me. I felt impressed to have him pray over Kailee (my granddaughter). He prayed the sweetest prayer. I will always remember that day! I can only imagine ALL the lives he touched during his time on earth.

"Uncle Jimmy", as we knew him at Ambassador Camp, was a treasure. He truly did make all of us "kids" (campers & staff) feel special and loved. Even though some of the messages I heard from him were 40 years ago, there are many Bible stories that I can still hear him telling, like the one about "Miffy" (Mephibosheth). He was always the camper-favorite speaker because he made the Bible stories come alive. I am grateful to have known this sweet man of God!

Uncle Jimmy was one of kindthe good kind, the godly kind, the encouraging kindthe compassionate and helpful kindand to say he was a blessing would fall way short of the impact he had on many lives. He truly made a difference in my life and I count it a privilege to have sat under his teaching and preaching at Ambassador Camp. Truly, he was a blessing beyond measure. Aunt Peggy, big hugs and prayers for you and all the rest of your wonderful family. Thank you for sharing Uncle Jimmy with the multitudes!!! I am thankful to have been one of those who was changed by his ministry. And, though he will be greatly missed, we rejoice that he has, in a very real sense, entered into a wonder filled life with his Lord and Savior. Much, much love to all!! You will be in my thoughts and prayers!
