John was my friend, never forget at Akels Pancake I think it was The Rolling Stones came in I was sitting with John and others. The group started low key singing then shot off customers joining them. John didn´t recognize them and went told them this wasn´t the grand old opera. I still laugh at this

May the many memories of John help you through this time of mourning. John was a friendly and loving man. He was also very giving in his support of Myrtle Beach's athletic groups, especially the younger ones. Once he held a huge pancake dinner/sale to raise money for the Mite Football League teams. It was quite a success as everyone in town knew of his business and it seemed they all came to support him in this endeavor. He will be missed not only by his family, but the many friends he had accumulated over them any years he was here.
