Joseph Buccino Obituary

SURFSIDE BEACH | Joseph Michael Buccino Jr., husband of the late Blanche L. Russell Buccino, of Livingston, N.J. and Surfside Beach, S.C., died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003.



He was born Oct. 14, 1925 in Orange, N.J., a son of the late Joseph Michael and Albina Monica Bucccino. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Salvatore Buccino and Vincent Buccino.



Mr. Buccino was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving during WWII. He was a graduate of Kansas State University where he was an All Conference first team lineman. He also earned a Masters Degree from Seton Hall University, South Orange, N.J. He was a retired teacher in the Irvington, N.J. public schools. He also served as President of the Essex County Coaches Association and Athletic Director of the Essex County Athletic Association.



Survivors include two sons, Joseph M. Buccino III of Clark, N.J., and Salvatore Buccino and wife, Barbara, of Cleveland, Ohio; one daughter, Andrea Buccino Linnett of Cleveland, Ohio; and grandchildren, Nicole Linnett, Michael Buccino, Alex and Amanda Luisi.



A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Garden City, S.C.
