Kenneth Behrendt Obituary

MYRTLE BEACH | Kenneth L. Behrendt, 75, died Tuesday, December 25, 2007.

Mr. Behrendt was born in Peabody, Kansas, a son of the late Eric and Bernice Behrendt. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Staff Sgt., and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Mr. Behrendt is survived by sons, Paul and Robert Behrendt, both of Myrtle Beach, and Charles Behrendt of Ga.; daughters, Debbie Bigham and Theresa Petty, both of Myrtle Beach and Carey Behrendt of Ill.; brothers, John Behrendt of Ft. Wayne, Ind. and Joe Behrendt of Calif.; and seven grandchildren.

Graveside services, with military honors, will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, December 27, 2007 in Hillcrest Cemetery.

I was sorry to hear of Ken's death..I hadn't seen him in years but did think of him .. I worked with Ken at Social Services for many years and I do remember that he was a very caring caseworker and helped many, many, needy people in Horry County..that't the way I remember him..
