Laverne Carroll Obituary

Aynor
Mr. Laverne Carroll, age 79, husband of 51 years to Mrs. Shelvy Taylor Carroll passed away June 15, 2013 at Conway Medical Center. Mr. Carroll was born July 21, 1933 a son of the late James Leon and Carrie Belle Lewis Carroll. He was a veteran of the United States Army, a member of Salem Baptist Church, and a member of the American Legion Aynor. Mr. Carroll was predeceased by one infant son, Mark Taylor Carroll and one brother, Earl Carroll. Surviving Mr. Carroll in addition to his wife are three sons, Laverne Taylor Carroll of Aynor, Stewart Gene Carroll, Hubert Mitchell Britt both of Galivants Ferry, two brothers, Boyd Cecil Carroll of Lyman, SC Rogers Carroll of Spartanburg, Hattie C. Haulbrook of Spartanburg, eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Sunday June 16, 2013 from 6-8 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Monday at Salem Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Herrington and Rev. Tom Lovern officiating. Burial will follow in Cool Springs Southern United Methodist Church Cemetery. Sign an online guestbook at www.johnsonfuneralhomeofaynor.com.
