Muriel Himmelsbach Obituary
She was born Oct. 16, 1918 in Bridgeport, Conn., a daughter of the late Louis and Violet Pinner Carlson. Joseph Emil Himmelsbach, her husband, and Louis Carlson, her brother, predeceased her. Her grandson, Fitzgerald and granddaughters, Jill and Heidi also predeceased her.
She was a member of the Catholic Daughters and past president of the Ancient Order of the Hibernians. She was a hospital volunteer, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Survivors include two sons, Paul Himmelsbach and wife, Judy, of Conway and John ''Jack'' Himmelsbach and wife, Jeri, of Myrtle Beach; one daughter, Gaye Anne Himmelsbach Shulman and husband, Peter, of West Fulton, N.Y.; six grandchildren, Scott, Peter, Jason, Jessa, John, and Joy; one great-grandchild, Sabrina.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2005 at Our Lady Star of The Sea Catholic Church in North Myrtle Beach, with Father Edmund McCaffrey officiating. Burial will follow in Southeastern Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grand Strand Family YMCA, 904-65th Ave N., Myrtle Beach, SC 29572.
