Raymond L. Deal, of Wilmington, NC, passed away on November 13, 2013. He was born June 26, 1932 in Nashville TN, to Cecil and Prudence Deal. Mr. Deal was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Rose Whitt Deal. After serving in the United States Army, Ray made his career working for Firestone / Bridgestone in the United States and abroad. He was a quick reader and an avid golfer. Surviving are daughters, Linda Adgent of Wilmington, Debbie and Kurt Kanouse of Washougal, WA, and Nancy and Mike Dunworth of Las Cruces, NM; sons, Ken Deal of Auckland, NZ and Mike Deal of Georgetown, SC; four grandchildren, Dr. Kevin Adgent, Scott Kanouse, Brian Kanouse and Cayla Deal; one great-grandchild, Ethan Adgent, and a sister, Betty Gregory of Nashville, TN. Ray will be remembered as a sweet, kind and generous man. Memorial gifts may be made to Alzheimer's Association of Wilmington, 714 Champ Davis Road, Wilmington, NC, 28411.
