Little River
Richard John Miller, 78, died Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
Born on December 13, 1935 in New Kensington, PA, he was the son of the late John A. and Alberta Kirkwood Miller, Jr.
He was retired from the United States Air Force.
Mr. Miller is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carolyn Thomason Miller; son, John A. Miller, III (Gina); daughters, Alberta Ortiz (Israel), Dee Ann Miller; step children, Rebecca Bethea (Richard), Cathy Couture (Peter), Teresa Hart (John), Diana Deadmore (Thomas); 10 grandchildren, Candis, Danielle, Tarron, Nichole, Richard, Peter, Eric, Amanda, Hailey and Grace; and 11 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by one son, Richard John Miller, Jr.; and grandchild, Richard John Miller, III.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30 pm on Thursday, October 9 in Lee Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, 7020 AC Skinner Parkway, Suite 100, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
