UNCLE RICK WILL BE TRUELY MISSED. A TRUE SERVANT OF THE LORD. WHAT A COMFORT TO KNOW WHEN A FAMILY MEMBER LEAVES THIS WORLD WHERE THEIR SOUL IS.
WE'VE HAD HIM ON THIS EARTH FOR 58 YEARS NOW HE'S IN GLORY FOR ETERNATY.
MY HEART GOES OUT TO THE KIDS. I KNOW YOU WILL MISS HIM DEARLY. PRAYING THE LORD COMFORTS YOU DAY BY DAY.
LOVE CORA

On our way home, Marcy and I were talking about how nice the funeral was, about the wonderful sermons that Keith and Jack Todd gave. But mostly about the song that the young lady sang. "Stepping Stones". It was beautiful and the words so real and moving, and probably the story of Rick's and our lives. What a wonderful message. And the taped recording of "Mama's Ark" played at the gravesite, was the best that I had ever heard that song played. It was just like he was sitting there, playing and singing..The things he loved to do. Marcy and I will miss him so much.

Our loss is heaven's gain. Uncle Rick is an incredible man, one I simply adore and love with all my heart, as did all of his family and friends. But more importantly, he is a incredible Christian man. That alone guarantees that some day we will see him again on the other side.
Shelly, Sheila, Ricky, Mary, we're all here for you anytime - for any reason and it is so comforting knowing that you do know where your daddy is and he is well again, patiently waiting for you.
Rest and sing with the angels Uncle Rick.
I love you

Ricky and Mary,
For 25 years now Rick and I have been friends, and really, more like brothers. We both knew we could count on each other to be there when needed. We did a lot of things together over the years, but I think what we enjoyed the most was just sitting and talking. Outside of my wife, Rick knew me better than anyone else.
He was such a hard worker all his life. I was amazed by him many times with what he could do. He was a very talented and intelligent man. No job scared him. He'd tackle anything. He fought to continue doing the things he loved despite the pain he was in every minute of every day. I knew he was really feeling bad if he couldn't go some days.
I will treasure all the memories we have built up together as long as I live. I look forward to giving him a big hug someday, and saying "Hi Brother" once again.
Ricky and Mary, you know I am ready to help you in any way I can. Please call.

Mr. Todd was a great teacher and loved what he done. He had great respect from his students and co-workers who had the opportunity to know him. He also loved playing music with his friends. One of my relatives got to know him through his music and became a very good friend. My prayers and thoughts are with the family and friends of Mr. Todd.

Words can't express the sorrow I have with the news of your passing. I am glad I got to see you in May and wish I could have seen you more. You were a special person to me. Thanks for the memories of past and especially when my family and I all visited you in Georgetown. You took all 6 of us out on a boat and the kids enjoyed every minute staying with you.
To Shelly, Sheila, Ricky and Mary,

The Bible tells us to "Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep." (Romans 12:15)
I am rejoicing with Rick as he rests with his Saviour and I am weeping with his family and loved ones as we miss him and mourn his departure.

Uncle Rick,
Sometimes it is hard to find anything positive to say when such an unexpected tragedy happens. I am positive that you are healthier and happier now than you have ever been before. I am positive that the joy you must feel seeing Grandpa again couldn't be put into words. I am positive that I am so very proud to have you as my Uncle. And I am positive that we will see you again. All my love and tears, Stevie

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
