Ronald L. Hankins, Sr., 77, died Friday, September 4, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born on May 18, 1938 in Stoneville, NC, he was the son of the late Henry F. and Claudia James Hankins.
Mr. Hankins was a 32nd Degree Mason, Lodge 694, Greensboro, NC. He was a business owner for 27 years in Greensboro, NC and retired to the beach 25 years ago.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Judy "Mimi" Hankins; son, "Bo" Ronald L. Hankins, Jr. (Joyce); daughter Stephanie Hankins; grandchildren, Justin and Brooke Hankins; twin great grandchildren, Aleah and Hailey; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews whom he adored. He is predeceased by brothers, James Henry, Fred, Hansey, Clifton, Clarence, Leonard and sister, Mary Zigler.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Sunday, September 6 at Lee Funeral Home Chapel and at all other times at the home. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at North Myrtle Beach Memorial Gardens.

Ron was special to us in so many ways. We will miss his laughter, his stories and just sitting and talking. We have lost a really good friend and will truly miss him. He was a part of our lives for at least 35 years.
