It saddened me to read about Mr. Sam's passing. I remember him flying over our house when I was a little girl and saying "Hi" to Granny, his Aunt, my Grandmother... Although it has been ages since seeing him, he has never been forgotten... God Bless all of you. Debbie Graham Best (daughter of Eugenia Strickland Graham).

Dear Sheila and Sam,
My parents, Marion and Elsie Vaught, and I, want you to know how saddened we were to hear of your father's passing. We have fond memories of the time he was pastor of Tilly Swamp Baptist. Mama and Daddy are unable to drive and have physical limitations which prevent them from being there for the visitation and funeral. They want you to know you both, along with your mother, are in their thoughts and prayers.

Sammy and Sheila, I am so sorry to learn of your father's passing. I watched him for years spraying crops and trees out in our community. Sheila, when we worked at bell; he learned where I lived and would wing wave if he saw me. I will never forget that. My heart felt sympathy goes out to your family. May God bless you all.

The Ford & Marie Norris family will miss "Shig" as he was known to us. Last time we visited with him he had hopes of getting his book published we hope that his legacy can live on with others. He was a man of many talents. Our thoughts and prayers are with you!

Mr. Sam will be missed....I remember him when I was very young watching him fly spraying crops around the community and talking with him in my latter years as an adult. God bless the family.
