Stacy Carter Obituary
Murrells Inlet
Stacy Ann Carter age 50, died Sunday, November 25, 2017 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
Born in Ocala, FL, she was a daughter of the late Thames "Big Jim" Baxter and Wilma Osteen Baxter. Mrs. Carter was a member of First Baptist Church of Murrells Inlet where she was very active. She enjoyed ministering through her gift of photography. She was known as The Citadel mom's unofficial/official photographer and taught photography at Calvary Christian School. Mrs. Carter went on many mission trips to Guatemala through Kids Alive International and Pawleys Island Community Church. She loved spending time with her family especially her husband and sons.
Survivors include her husband, Kehl Carter; sons, Grayson and Logan Carter; two brothers, Rodney Mercer and Fred Sharpton, a sister, Karen Tolson and a sister in law, Lynne Mercer and many nephews and nieces.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 30, 2017 at First Baptist Church Murrells Inlet. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel.

Stacey didn't believe in dimming another persons light, in order to make her own shine brighter. She was a great person and our prayers are with you Kehl, Grayson and Logan. You all have deep faith and will power forward the way she would want you to. God bless, our deepest condolences.

Kehl, Grayson, Logan and family, I am so very sorry for your loss. We are praying for you all. Stacy was a lovely woman and godly. She has touched the lives of so many with her kindness and heart. She will forever be remembered not only in the hearts of many but through the eyes of many in her photos. We pray for peace and understanding at this time and comfort in knowing she is with our Lord and Savior now and you will see her again one day.
