ATTENTION TO ORDERS
It has been brought to my attention that 2nd Ranger Company lost another member on 13 March 2017
The Supreme Jumpmaster has seen fit to manifest Ranger Strothers, Stewart W. for his final jump. Ranger Strothers was a replacement medic assigned to 2nd Ranger Infantry Company (Airborne) during the Korean War, he earned his jump wings in Korea, in a Airborne school operated by 2nd Ranger Company and he participated in the unit's most critical battle, Hill 581. It is with a heavy heart that I now rely his last commands
"Get Ready"
"Stand Up"
"Hook Up'
"Check Static Line"
"Check Equipment"
"Sound off for Equipment Check"
{ Ranger Strothers is all OK Supreme Jumpmaster }
"Stand in the door"
Ranger "Doc" Strothers was a great personal friend and mentor. He will be missed by all, as he makes his way to the rendezvous point.

Ranger Stewart W. Strothers was, is and will always be an important part of African American military history. During the Korean War, Ranger Strothers was assigned to 2nd Ranger Infantry Company (Airborne) as a medic, ( America's only All Black Ranger Company) although he missed the first ever Airborne Ranger combat parachute assault, he did participate in one of the most daring battles that 2nd Ranger Company (Airborne) was involved in, the Battle of Hill 581. Ranger Strothers has now joined his long lost comrade and good friend Ranger Sutton. Ranger Stewart was known as a selfless medic, turning down awards because he felt other deserved them before himself. He has been an instrumental part in preserving the legacy of America's most "Elite" All Black US Army organization. Many Rangers from the past through the present will feel the loss of Ranger Stewart W. Strothers. I personally considered Ranger Strothers a friend and mentor. I will find a way to let the world know how great of a Airborne Ranger, you really was. AATW RLTW!!! Tee Mac

I was saddened to learn of Stu's passing. He was my first supervisor when I began my career at Coastal Carolina in 1987. He was always very kind and helpful. After 30 years, I still remember his encouragement and support for a young instructor. I will keep a good thought for all in the coming days.
