Thomas Owens Obituary

GALIVANTS FERRY | Mr. Thomas C. Owens of Nichols Hwy., went home to be with the Lord, Jan. 8, 2006 at Marion County Medical Center.

Mr. Owens was born in Marion County, a son of the late Joe and Dalma Phipps Owens. He attended Mt. Trolley Freewill Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Doris Owens, are two sons, Kenny Bellamy of Oklahoma, Ray Bellamy of Aiken; two daughters, Teresa Holden and her husband, Timmy, of Aynor, Renee Squires and her husband, Dean, of Galivants Ferry; two brothers, James Owens and Bobby Owens, both of Mullins; one sister, Isla Mae Perritt of Georgetown; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Owens was predeceased by one daughter, Diane Owens of Lake View; one brother, Joe Owens Jr. of Dillon; two grandsons, Bradley Squires of Galivants Ferry and Christopher Holden of Aynor.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006 at Mt. Trolley Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Marty Cox and the Rev.Stuart Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006, from 7 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Mt. Trolley Freewill Baptist Church 1782 Barnhill Road Galivants Ferry S.C. 29544.

Mr Thomas will be missed by all of us. He was a great and funny man to be around, I will miss him dearly. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of his family, we will always keep him in our hearts. He is with the lord and with those that have gone before him. He is now our angel.
