Virginia Foy Obituary

MYRTLE BEACH | Virginia Cartlett Foy, 83, wife of the late Corneil Foy, died Thursday, April 28, 2005 at East Cooper Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant.

She was born Oct. 10, 1921 in Marlboro County, S.C., a daughter of the late Jesse Warren and Winnie Davis Catlett.

She was a homemaker and assisted her husband in forming the Alano Club of Myrtle Beach.

Survivors include a son, Warren Covington and his wife, Marcia, of Myrtle Beach; two brothers, James Catlett of Greensboro, N.C., and Norman Catlett of Woodstock, Va.; two grandchildren, Jenine Covington Weinstein and her husband, Ben, of Charleston and Cornell Warren Covington and his wife, Jill, of Roseburg, Ore.; two great-grandchildren, Samuel and Jacob Weinstein and former daughter-in-law, Ina Covington.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at the Alano Club of Myrtle Beach on 67th Ave. North with a reception following the service.
