Myrtle Beach
Wayne James Hudson II, age 69, died peacefully at Georgetown Community Hospital on March 18, 2012.
Born in Jeannette, PA, he was the second of three children born to the late Wayne James Hudson I and Dorothy Meikle Hudson. Wayne attended public schools in Jeannette, PA. He transferred to Charleroi High School for his senior year. He obtained an Associate Degree in Mechanical Tool and Die Design at Dean Tech in Pittsburgh, PA. He attended California University of Pennsylvania majoring in Economics and the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Texas in Austin, Texas. Wayne was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He belonged to Masonic Lodge #615 for 37 years. He began his career in banking working for over 37 years in the Financial Industry at WPNB Bank in Washington, PA. He also worked with Equibank, First Federal Savings and Loan in Monessen, PA and PNC of Pittsburgh, PA. He became President CEO of United Mine Workers Federal Credit from 1994-2006 He was President CEO of McGraw Hill Employees Federal Credit Union of New York, NY until he retired to Myrtle Beach, SC in May. Wayne enjoyed golf and gardening. He and his wife Tamara traveled throughout the world until his health failed.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Tamara Diane Wineland Hudson; several nieces and nephews; two sisters: Janet Clemens of Hempfield Township, PA, Linda Ray of Jeannette, PA and one step-sister, Eileen of West Moreland County, PA.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Belin Memorial United Methodist Church.
Burial will follow at Maple Creek Cemetery, Fallowfield Township, PA
