William Bollman Obituary

William Henry "The Dats" Bollman, Sr.
November 26, 1929 - May 11, 2016
Myrtle Beach
William Henry "The Dats" Bollman, Sr. 86, passed away at home with family by his side on Wednesday, May 11, 2016.
He was greeted in Heaven by his beloved wife and greatest love of 59 years, Thelma Avon Bollman.
Born in New York, Bill formerly resided in Piscataway, as well as Glen Gardner, New Jersey before retiring and making Myrtle Beach his permanent home.
William served in the Navy as a radioman on the USS Midway CVB-41 and was a dedicated employee of the New Jersey Bell Telephone Company.
"Dats" lived a life filled with love for his family and was always able to find humor within the small things in life. His passions included patriotism for his country, ham radio, reading anything regarding WWII, teaching his grandchildren how to swim (amongst many other life lessons), taking his dogs for a walk at night, and watching old movies.
William is survived by three daughters, and their spouses, Linda and Richard Bush of Manahawkin, New Jersey, Suzanne and Richard Lee of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Kathleen and Joe Kuchar of Bangor, Pennsylvania, and one son, and his wife, William and Barbara Mobille Bollman of Bethesda, Maryland. He will also be dearly missed by 14 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and Rosie Lennon.
He will be remembered as a man of tremendous strength and courage and a man that had a heart filled with endless love. Although he left us too soon, the memories Momma and Dats created will live on in the hearts of those he loved forever.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at 5:00 PM at McMillan-Small Funeral Home.

My condolences. I met your father a few years ago when I registered him for blood work. I was amazed because my father was also William Henry Bollman, as is my brother and nephew. We're originally from Lancaster, Pa. your dad and I always laughed about the coincidence.

Sending my condolences to the family. May God give you strength and peace during this difficult time. (Psalm 29:11)
