Myrtle Beach, South Carolina - William A. Genovese (Bill), 80, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025, at Grand Strand Medical Center.
Born on March 3, 1945, in Stamford, CT, William was the son of the late William (Vito) A. Genovese and Lydia Raiteri Genovese. He spent many years in Darien, CT before relocating to Myrtle Beach in 1989 with his wife, Betty Jo, originally from Bennettsville, SC. After settling in Myrtle Beach, Bill worked as a realtor with Sloan Realty and Endless Summer Vacations.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Betty Jo; his sons, Winston Genovese and William Genovese Jr. (Kristen); his grandson, Michael Genovese; his sister, Carolyn Genovese Harvey (John); and his sister-in-law, Marie Genovese. William was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Genovese.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 24, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the North Myrtle Beach Historical Museum, located at 799 2nd Avenue North, North Myrtle Beach, SC. Light refreshments will be served.

Billy, Anthony, Julie and I hung around at Uva´ little store on West Main St. and went to school together. Lot´s of laughs and fun as teenagers. So sad and shocked at Bill´s passing. My deepest sympathy to sister Carol and Bill´s family during this time of sadness.

My warmest condolences to Carolyn & John, Betty, Marie and extended family members. I did not know Bill very well as I only met him a few times but I knew his late brother Tony quite well and who was one of my dearest and could see kindness and caring was a hallmark of the Genovese family. My prayers are with you all and always will be.
