Annette Mae Pillion, 102, of Ottawa, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at the Ottawa Pavilion.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at the Mueller Funeral Home, Ottawa with Rev. Joel Stevenor, Pastor of Waltham Presbyterian Church officiating. Private burial will take place on Thursday, at St. Columba Cemetery, Ottawa. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Annette was born on September 1, 1919 in Ottawa to Arthur and Myrtle (Twait) Ness. She went to business school and worked as a bookkeeper at Wallace Grade School for 20 years and also worked at the Sheridan Correctional Center for 20 years. Annette married Raymond Thomas Pillion in October of 1943 at St. Patrick's Church, Ottawa. She was a member of Waltham Presbyterian Church. Annette enjoyed searching for antiques, shopping, and baking.
She is survived by three children, Janet (Fran) Sexton of Seneca, Steve (Karen) Pillion of Ottawa, and Judy Ashley of Grand Ridge; five grandchildren, Kim (Ron) Glover, Bryan (Debbie) Benedetti, Sherri Benedetti, Jodi (Todd) Stehl, and Emma Pillion; and 4 great- grandchildren, Zachary (Kodi) and Shelby Benedetti and Tatum and Tawnee Stehl.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray; a sister, Marjorie Wright; and a great-grandson, Tyler Benedetti.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Bryan Benedetti, Kim Glover, Sherri Benedetti, Jodi Stehl, and Emma Pillion.
Memorials may be directed to the family to be designated at a later date.
