Please accept my sincere condolences to the Johnson Family for the loss of your beloved son and friend Anthony, gone too soon. Anthony “A.J.” Johnson was an actor and comedian known for roles in movies including “Friday” and “House Party.” There is no greater pain there could be than losing someone you love, especially when it is unexpected. May the love and the special memory you shared with him show just how much your life was touched by him. May the God of all comfort who is the hearer of prayers be with you in your time of need with his loving kindness and peace as He strengthens you to cope during this difficult time. May family, friends and extended family cherish his memories.

Johnson’s breakthrough role was E.Z.E. in “House Party” (1990). It was followed by roles in “Lethal Weapon 3” (1992) and “Menace II Society” (1993) before his best-known role came in 1995. He played petty thief Ezal in “Friday” alongside Ice Cube and Chris Tucker. Johnson’s other movies include “Panther” (1995), “B.A.P.S.” (1997), and “I Got the Hook Up” (1998). He was also featured in music videos by Dr. Dre and Eazy-E, and he made TV appearances in “Martin,” “The Parent ‘Hood,” and “Malcolm & Eddie.” Johnson was also a stand-up comedian who was featured on “Def Comedy Jam” in 1994.

Rest young man, Lord knows it is due, you were a hard working soul funnier than most, but just never given that big break to have your own show. You will be missed but never forgotten.
