Died: January 21, 2025 in Streator, IL
Audrey "Joy" Plymire, 91 of Ransom passed away Tuesday (January 21, 2025) at the ARC- Streator.
A visitation will be held Friday from 9:30a.m. until 11a.m. at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11a.m.at the funeral home with burial to follow in the Allen Twp Cemetery, Ransom. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Jimmy, Terry, Eric, Andrew, Koltin and Drew. Honorary will be granddaughters, Amy, Allison, Keira, Kaylee and Alexcia.
Joy was born on August 21, 1933, in Ottawa to Arthur and Audrey (Moss) Schmitt. She married Lowell "Mick" Plymire on April 16, 1949. He preceded her in death on September 19, 1977.
Surviving is son Kurt (Janet) Plymire of Streator, daughter in law Linda Plymire of Ransom, grandchildren, Terry, Andrew and Eric Plymire, James Knox and Amy Walker and 7 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Lowell, son Mick and daughter Loleyne "Chita" Knox, brothers Art, Mark and Frank, and a sister Jean Provance.
Joy attended Grand Ridge Grade School and was a member of the Ransom United Methodist Church.
Memorials may be made to the family of Joy Plymire.
