Bruno Bialowas
Born: November 14, 1919
Died: February 22, 2021
Bruno Bialowas, 101, of Springfield, IL passed away on the morning of Monday February 22, 2021. Bruno was born in Hrycowce, Poland on November 14, 1919 the son of Pawel and Jozefa (Sroka) Bialowas.
On June 1, 1952 he married his wife Stella and the two of them immigrated to the United States in 1964. He worked for Owens-Illinois Glass in Streator, IL until his retirement.
Bruno was a member of the St. Casimir Parish in Streator before moving to Springfield in 2008 when he became a member of the Blessed Sacrament Parish.
He enjoyed gardening and carpentry.
Bruno was preceded in death by his wife, Stella; parents; 1 brother, Lukasz Bialowas; 1 sister, Maria Ambroza; 2 sons in infancy; and 1 granddaughter in infancy.
He is survived by his sons, Chet Bilows (wife, Maggie) and Joe Bialowas; 2 grandsons, Adam Bilows and Andy Bilows; step grandson, Bradley Nott; and a step granddaughter, BreAnne Krasniuk; as well as his sister, Viktoria Pierzchala of Streator, IL.
Bruno will have a funeral service at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home in Springfield and be laid to rest next to his wife at Calvary Cemetery in Springfield, IL.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
