Carol Lee Macchietto, 83, of Marseilles, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at Pleasant View Luther Home.
Memorial visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 9 at Parkview Baptist Church in Marseilles. Services will follow at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church with Pastor John Patterson officiating. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
Carol was born on February 20, 1942, in Ottawa, to Paul M. and Mildred J. (Ream) Ingmanson. She graduated from Marseilles High School in the Class of 1960. In 1964, she married Louis B, Macchietto of Marseilles, who preceded her in death in 2018.
She had been employed as a cook and waitress at Flo's restaurants and then later by Seattle Sutton's Healthy Eating and in the lunchroom at Marseilles Elementary School until her retirement. Carol served on the Marseilles Nursing Service board and volunteered at the Marseilles Museum. Carol was a joy to everyone around her and will be greatly missed by everybody who knew her.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Carla Macchietto; a sister-in-law, Rita Ingmanson; and a brother-in-law, John Macchietto.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lou; her son, Ricky, and a son in infancy; one sister, Joan Page; and her brother, Leo Ingmanson.
Memorials may be given to the Marseilles Nursing Service or the Marseilles Museum.
