Died: May 24, 2024 in Rockford, IL.
Delphine Forino, 77, of Ottawa and formerly of Streator passed away Friday, May 24, 2024 at O.S.F. St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 30th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Visitation will be from 4-7 P.M. Wednesday, May 29th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
Born Mary 25, 1947 in Streator she was the daughter of George and Audrey (Kinkade) Vadas. She married Paul A Forino on April 4, 1970.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Forino of Ottawa; a son, Tony (Courtney) Forino of Ottawa; grandchildren, Skyler Hayden of Texas; Jaelyn and Asher Forino of Ottawa; a sister, Mary Beth (Kenny) Roach of Streator and Debbie Vadas of Streator; a brother, George "Butch" (Nancy) Vadas of Streator; and a brother and sister in law, Scott and Patty Vogel of Streator.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her mother and father in law, Tony and Ann Forino; and brother and sisters in law, Frank and Ann Kettman and Jim and Marian Yuhas.
Born and raised in Streator she attended St. Stephen's Grade School and Streator High School.
She worked through the years for Streator Canning Factory.
She was a member of the former St. Stephen's Church.
Delphine loved boating with her husband; many good times were had on the river with her family and extended family. She was a great cook and baker and made the best Apple Pie. She and her son Tony especially enjoyed cooking together on Sundays. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be dearly missed by her family.
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the charity of the donor's choice.
