Died: September 19, 2025 in Marseilles, IL
Douglas D. Lyon, 72, of Marseilles, IL, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025, at his home.
Funeral services will be private. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
Douglas was born on February 11, 1953, in Ottawa, IL, to Reed and Virginia (Moats) Lyon. On April 2, 2014, he married Linda Sue Pelletier of Bradley, IL who survives.
Doug was the owner and operator of Pruit Motors in Jonesville, IL until his retirement. He enjoyed many pastimes including gardening, fishing, camping, baking, canning, being in his yard, and watching car shows.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Sue; his three sons, Mike (Terry) Costin, Rick Pelletier, and Adam Pelletier; his seven grandchildren, Trai Pelletier, Rick Dale (Jordan) Cooper, Sadie Pelletier, Paige (Brenden) Brosseau, Leona (Carson) Wade, Brystal Pelletier and James Costin; six great-grandchildren, Halle, Brady, and Annalisa Cooper, Crimson, Brynlee, and Artemis Wade; and his two sisters, Susan Johnson and Roxanne Smith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Reed Lyon; his mother, Virginia Pruit; his sister, Reeda Mijie; and his two brothers-in-law, Eddie Johnson and Ronald Pearon.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
