Frederick M. Gaspardo, 80, of Flanagan passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025 at 9:38 p.m. in the Flanagan Rehab and Care Center.
He was born on August 1, 1944 in Streator, IL to Martin and Marguerite (Sass) Gaspardo. He married Sharon Lucas on November 28, 1964 in Streator, IL. She survives.
Survivors also include his children, Dawn Gaspardo of Long Point; Roger (Jennifer) Gaspardo of Long Point; Paul (Ceci) Gaspardo of Gridley; Amy (Douglas) Bear of Macomb; Jason (Heather) Gaspardo of Pawleys Island, SC; six siblings, Arlene (Larry) Martell of Ancona; Jean Gaspardo of Long Point; Jerry Gaspardo of Long Point; Phyllis (Ron) Kestner of Long Point; Marilyn Chaffee of Lutz, FL; Janet Marshall of Lutz, FL; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Fred was a retired maintenance electrician from Caterpillar. In addition to working at Caterpillar he managed Bayou Bluffs Campground for many years.
He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Minonk where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. Franciscan Friars will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Burial will be held at the Long Point Cemetery in Long Point, IL. Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Minonk is handling arrangements for the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to St Patrick's Church of Minonk. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.ruestmanharrisfuneralhome.com.

Sharon - I was so sad to hear of Fred´s passing. Please know that I am keeping you and your family in prayer. May you all feel God´s presence and peace especially at this time. I still have fond memories of our high school years together and our double dates with you and Fred. I am so glad that I got to talk to Fred at our last high school reunion.
