Gerald E. "Jerry" Geiger, 83, of Ottawa, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at St. Columba Church, Ottawa with Rev. Nicolas Wilson, officiating. Burial will follow at St. Columba Cemetery, Ottawa. Visitation will be 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home, Ottawa.
Jerry was born on March 3, 1939 in Ottawa to George and Margaret (Frain) Geiger. He worked as a pipefitter. Jerry married Ellen Warren on December 12, 1959 in Ottawa. He was a member of St. Columba Church, Ottawa. Jerry loved fishing, driving for Bill Walsh Automotive and serving as an usher during football games at the University of Notre Dame.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen Geiger; his two children, Kallie (Geiger) Krug, Jason Geiger; three grandchildren, Devin Geiger, Taylor Krug, Cole Krug; a brother, Ken Geiger of Ottawa; and a sister, Sandy (Jim) Reinman of Ottawa.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jerry Geiger, Jr.; his parents, George and Margaret; three brothers, George "Dutch" Geiger, Robert Geiger, Paul Geiger; two sisters, Nancy Anselme, Dorothy Stoudt; a nephew, Andrew Geiger; a niece, Sarah Geiger; a son in law, Bill Krug; and his father and mother-in-law, Fred and Elaine Warren.
Pallbearers will be Cole Krug, Hank Walsh, Burl Leslie, Devin Geiger, Ken Geiger, Jr. and Tom Flora.
Memorials may be directed to the Family.
