Gene “Genie” Marie Geiger, age 80 of Woodruff, WI passed away on Saturday, March 14th at her residence with her family by her side. Genie was born on August 17, 1945 in Milwaukee, WI the daughter of Ward and Bernice (nee Baumgartner) Zimmer. She graduated from Messmer High School in Milwaukee and married David A. Geiger on August 31, 1963.
Genie worked many years at Electromel Industries and Lindgren Enclosures. Genie enjoyed quilting, hiking, baking and gardening.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, David and by her children Bernard Geiger, Daniel T. (Holly nee Smigaj) Geiger, David B. (Angela Mae nee Roder) Geiger, Matthew W. (Samantha nee Gaydos) Geiger and her grandchildren Nicole Geiger, Andrew Geiger, Michael Geiger North, Kimberly Geiger North, Angie (Ryan Barker), David R. Geiger, Anabella Geiger, Danielle Geiger, Curtis Geiger and Mason Geiger and her great grandchildren Shaine Geiger, Olivia Geiger, Ava Schoon, Linden North and Sylvan North and by her sister Carol Zimmer.
Genie was preceded in death by her parents Ward and Bernice Zimmer and her brother Michael Zimmer.
Upon her wishes, cremation took place and Celebration of Life for Genie will take place at a later date.
