Nimsgern Funeral & Cremation Service - WoodruffMarian E. Bloch was born on October 7,1932 in Brownsville, WI, the daughter of Richard and Elsie Ehrhardt Bloch. She entered her eternal home on February 9, 2026.
She graduated from Mayville (WI) high school and worked at her father’s grocery market in Brownsville for several decades and at William’s Cleaners in Berlin, WI. She then moved to Racine, WI and worked for the Lincoln Lutheran organization and for the YWCA. In 2017 she moved to Minocqua WI to be closer to family.
She was a devoted Christian and member of Trinity Methodist church in Lomira, WI where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was also a member of Job’s Daughters. She was a member of North Pointe United Methodist church in Racine and attend the Methodist Church of the Pines in Minocqua.
Marian loved children, and baby sat and cared for children. She enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles, reading novels, sewing, knitting, and other handy work.
She is survived by her sister: Alice Sauer of Warrendale, PA; brother: Daniel (Nancy) Bloch of Arbor Vitae, WI; nephews: Dr. Gary (Trish) Sauer of Wexford, PA, James (Carol) Sauer of Clarence Center, NY, and Michael (Miki) Bloch of Warsaw, Poland; niece: Dr. Margaret (Sanjive) Bloch-Qazi of St. Peter MN. She was proceeded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Gale Sauer. She will be interned in the family plot in Knowles, WI.
A Memorial Service will be on April 25, 2026, at 11:00 am, at the Church of the Pines in Minocqua, WI. A Memorial Gathering will be held from 10:30 am until the time of the service.
Memorials may be sent to the Bloch Scholarship fund at the Methodist church, 300 Church St. in Lomira or Church of the Pines, 415 Chippewa St., in Minocqua.
