Harry W. Dent Jr., 82 of Streator passed away Monday (February 28, 2022) at Amberwood Care Center, Rockford.
Private family services will be held with burial in Riverview Cemetery.
Harry was born on November 4, 1939, in Streator to Harry and Irene (Bacon) Dent Sr. He married Carolyn K. Weers on November 25, 1961. She preceded him in death on January 16, 2019.
Surviving are sons, Harry W. (Sue) Dent III of Roscoe and Todd A. Dent of Buda, 2 grandchildren: Coen and Harry W. Dent IV and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Carolyn, grandson Kyle Dent and his 3 sisters: Charlotte Fairall, Ruth McAllister and Betty Scott.
Harry attended Streator grade schools and Streator High School. He retired from Thatcher Glass Co. Harry was a member of the First United Methodist Church and he also enjoyed fishing.
The family would like to give a special Thank You to Pam Sherman, Donna and Tom Gallup and the Staff from Home Instead.
