Hazel V. Fellows
Born: January 25, 1923 in Kinsman, IL.
Died: April 4, 2025 in Streator, IL.
Hazel V. Fellows, 102, of Streator passed away Friday, April 4, 2025 at the ARC of Streator.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 8th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Visitation will be from 9-11 A.M. Tuesday, April 8th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Burial will be in Allen Township Cemetery, Ransom. Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
Born January 25, 1923 in Kinsman she was the daughter of Axel and Bertha (Oberg) Swanson. She married Kenneth Shaffer in February of 1944. He preceded her in death in April of 1961. She later married Gordon Fellows in April of 1962. He preceded her in death in August of 2009.
She is survived by a son, William (Mary Lou) Shaffer of Streator; a daughter, Sandra Pshak of Streator; step-daughters, Sally Studnicki of Pontiac and Karen Corder of Streator; grandchildren, Michelle (William) Shepard of Oglesby, Rebecca (Neil) Sprindis of South Elgin, Dr. Thomas (Tricia) Pshak of Denver, Colorado, Julie (Michael) Smetanko of Streator, Brenda (Michael) Swiskowski of Streator, Matthew Studnicki of Bloomington, Jason Studnicki of Normal and Dr. Christopher (Rebecca) Corder of Omaha, Nebraska; great grandchildren, Drew (Natalie) Bacha of Huxley, Iowa, Emma Bacha of Ankeny, Iowa, Riley and Kaithlyn Sprindis of South Elgin, Joey Shepard of Spring Valley, Keegan Smetanko of Streator, Ann Marie (Logan) Fitzgerald of Ottawa, Jessica Swiskowski of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Nicholas Swiskowski of Streator, Oliver, Heidi and Camille Pshak of Denver, Colorado; Mary, Margaret, William and Robert Corder of Omaha, Nebraska; a sister-in-law, Jeannie Swanson of Ransom; many nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; a granddaughter, Kristin Bacha; sisters, Harriet Koetz and Shelby Tobias; brothers, Helmar, Gerald and Kenneth Swanson; and sons in law, Paul Studnicki, John Corder and James Pshak.
Born and raised in Kinsman she attended Kinsman Grade School and graduated from Streator High School.
She worked through the years for Streator Canning Company, Thatcher's Glass and retired from Owens Illinois Glass.
She was a member of the Golden Emblem Club and the Streator High School Boosters.
Hazel enjoyed baking, cooking and tending to her garden. She was a hard-working person. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family.
Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.

So sorry for your family´s loss! Hazel was a very sweet lady when I was young in grade school and high school I spent a lot of time at there house. She did a lot baking then
