Jacqueline Thomas Obituary

Jacqueline "Jackie" (Rosencranz) Thomas
Born: May 21, 1951 in LaSalle, IL
Died: March 29, 2022 in Peoria, IL
Jacqueline "Jackie" Thomas, 70, of Deer Park Township, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, in Peoria.
A Private Graveside service will be held at the Deer Park Cemetery with a celebration of life held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa.
Jackie was born on May 2, 1951 in LaSalle to Fred and Darlene (LeBeau) Rosencranz. She was a graduate of Ottawa Township High School, class of 1969. Jackie married Daniel Thomas on December 26, 1970 at the Waltham Presbyterian Church. She worked at IVCH in admitting, until her retirement. She also spent her life helping her husband running the farm in Deer Park TWP. Jackie enjoyed vacationing in Florida, Las Vegas, and especially the family fishing trips to Wisconsin. She is survived by her husband, Daniel; three sons, Dan (Amy) Thomas of Ottawa, Jim (Randi) Thomas of Ottawa and Ron (Chrissy) Thomas of Oglesby; six grandchildren, Ashlyn, Emma, Jacob, Ricky, Savannah, and Jimmy; a brother, Fred (Pam) Rosencranz of Fulton, New York; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Susan Arroyo.

Sad to hear that a classmate has passed. Jackie and I did not have the same circle of friends, but we belonged to one of the best graduating classes at OTH 1969. A prayer coming to the family.

Jackie and I joked around and shared a Grandson Jimmy. She loved her family! Rest In Peace Jackie.

I am a cousin that used to visit Jackie when she was at my grandparents' house, Joe and Elsie Rosencranz. I remember she was very warm and kind to all of us younger ones. She would take us down to the quarry to swim and for a ride in the row boat. I'm so sorry and saddened that she has passed but there are so many precious memories to remember. I will be praying for all of the family during this difficult time.
