Died: March 8, 2025 in Streator, IL
John M. Kudla, 78 of Streator passed away Saturday morning (March 8, 2025) at his home.
A visitation will be held Saturday (March 22nd) from 10 a.m until 12 noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon at the funeral home with Pastors Don and Dan Leonord officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery with military honors conducted by members of the Streator American Legion and VFW.
Serving as pallbearers will be sons Marty and Marcus, nephew Troy Gray, and close church friends Terry Freese, Dale Ralston, and John Haley.
John was born on February 5, 1947, in Peru to Martin and Virginia (Rose) Kudla. He married Kathy Gillan on December 22, 1973. She survives.
Also surviving are sons Martin (Candace) Kudla of Flanagan and Marcus (Laura Arizmend) Kudla of San Antonio, TX, along with his grandchildren Oliver and Clara and his sister Joanne Stoner of Nina, WI.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers James and Jerry.
John attended St. Mary's Catholic School in Peru and graduated from LaSalle/Peru High School in 1965. He served in the US Army from May of 1966 until May of 1968. John was a glazier with Local Union #150 and retired from Streator Elementary School District. He was very active with the New Life Christian Center in Cornell.
Memorials may be made to the New Life Christian Center Building Fund.
