Linda Royers Obituary

Linda Royers
Born: March 8, 1950 in Ottawa, Il
Died: December 18, 2022 in Sun City, AZ
It is with a heavy heart that we note the passing of Linda S. Royers, formerly Linda Moran (née Mussatto), after a courageous two-year cancer battle. She passed with her family by her side holding her hand and knowing that she was loved.
After her retirement as a Flight Attendant, Linda followed her passion for the arts. She started her joy of creating with pottery. She studied the craft of pottery and the methods of various artists, including creating and collecting her favorite pieces during her travels. Moving on to painting, Linda created a variety of oil, acrylic, and water color pieces and was a member of the Art League club at her local community where she showed several pieces winning ribbons awards and even sales of those on exhibit.
As she became aware of her cancer, continuing her treatments at MD Anderson, Houston, she said she was not going to feel sorry for herself, fight as hard as she could, but enjoy what time she had left. And, that is what she did. She bravely faced her terrible illness as it progressed, but also continue to paint, take her entire family on trips to Walt Disney World, Hawaii and her granddaughters on a "girls' trip" to Spain. She stayed active with friends and family.
Linda was predeceased by her parents Ray and Mildred Mussatto; remarrying in 2009, she is survived by her husband, Peter Royers; two daughters, six grandchildren, and four siblings.
Funeral Services are pending and will be available on Caringbridge.org as they are scheduled.

To the family, I am so sorry to learn of Linda's passing. She was a freshman when I was a senior at Serena. Ann was also in high school with me and the younger siblings were students when I taught there. Linda was, like her sisters, a very sweet girl and your entire family were great classmates and students. I am now near Kansas City and I regret not being able to be there to pay my respects in person. I will be keeping your family in my thoughts and prayers as you go through the difficult time of adjustment to life without her.
