Died: May 17, 2025 in Joliet, IL
Mary Ellen Berninger, 53 of Streator passed away Saturday (May 17, 2025) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Joliet.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 10 – 12noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Services will be held at noon at the funeral home. Private family burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mary was born on March 21, 1972, Streator to Larry and Annabel (Eggers) Finney Sr.
She married Timothy Berninger on August 15, 2014. He survives.
Also surviving are stepchildren, Kaylan Berninger and Kory (Haley) Berninger both of Streator, her mother Annabel Finney, sisters Susan (Daniel) Oller and Cathy (Shane) Spellious, brother Larry (Donna) Finney Jr all of Streator and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded by her father, brothers John, Terry and Richard.
Mary attended Streator Grade Schools and graduated from Streator High School in 1990. She was formerly a C.N.A at Ottawa Pavilion. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family.
