Mary Darrow Obituary

Mary T. Darrow
Born: September 18, 1957
Died: January 2, 2022
Mary Therese Darrow, 64, of Streator passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, January 02, 2022, at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home, Peoria, after a courageous battle with a grade IV glioblastoma, the most aggressive malignant brain tumor.
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic a private family service will be held. A Celebration of Life is planned for this summer.
Mary's passion was teaching, and she will continue providing lessons. Mary has been donated to the Anatomical Gift Association of Illinois for medical research and utilization in an Illinois higher education institution. Cremation rites will be accorded at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Glioblastoma Research Organization (gbmresearch.org), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit research organization founded to create a focus for glioblastoma.

So sorry for your loss. Mary always had a smile whether I saw her at Engle Lane when the kids were in plays together (Russell) or at school when I was substituting for the school nurse. She will be missed

My Sympathies to the Darrow family. I worked with Mary at Sherman school. She was always so pleasant and kind.
