Died: March 8, 2024 in Ransom
Mickey L. Plymire 74, of Ransom passed away Friday evening (March 8, 2024) at his home.
Following cremation, a memorial visitation will be held Saturday from 9 AM until 10:30 AM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM at the funeral home.
Burial will be held at a later date.
Mick was born on December 3, 1949, in Streator, IL to Lowell and Audrey (Schmitt) Plymire. He married Linda Lambert on January 22, 1971. She survives.
Surviving is his wife Linda Plymire of Ransom, sons, Terry (Hannah Wilhelm) Plymire of Princeton, Andrew (Collette Klein) Plymire of Peru and Eric Plymire of Ottawa, 3 granddaughters, Lexi Plymire and Kaylee Plymire and Mikayla Wilhelm all of Princeton, mother, Audrey Joy Plymire of Streator, brother, Kurt (Janet) Plymire of Streator, several nieces and nephews and his 2 loving dogs Remi and Gracie.
He is preceded in death by his father and sister, Loleyne Knox.
Mick was of the Methodist faith. He was an avid Cubs, Bears, Bulls and Warriors fan.
Mick attended Ransom grade school and Streator High School. He was formerly employed at Calkins Trucking in Streator.
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
