Norma Lenac Obituary

Norma Jean (Foss) Lenac
Born: January 15, 1947
Died: December 22, 2024
Norma Jean (Foss) Lenac, 77, of Lake St. Louis, MO, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024. She passed peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family. Norma was born on January 15, 1947, in Ottawa, IL, to Kenneth and Delores Foss. She was raised in Ottawa with her two sisters and graduated from Marquette High School in 1965.
Norma's favorite pastime was spending time with family and friends, especially her grandkids, who called her Mormor. She was THE BEST Mormor to her five grandchildren, who loved her dearly.
Norma was an incredible mother and grandmother who was always there when we needed her, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. The lessons we've learned from her will be carried with us for the rest of our lives. Although we will miss her dearly, we will honor her by carrying on our family traditions and living out our promises to her.
Family was everything to Norma. She loved her sisters dearly and loved their children like her own. She was the aunt or cousin who stayed in touch with everyone and sent encouraging words to others just because. She meant so much to so many, and she made an impact on everyone.
For sixteen years, Norma had a very successful career as a real estate agent and made some incredible friends along the way. She retired years ago but always kept in contact with many of her colleagues. Norma liked to share fond memories of her career, and we will miss hearing those stories.
Norma is survived by her loving family: her son Joe (Cheri) Lenac of Lake St. Louis, MO, with their children, Brendan, Peyton, and Nathan; her son John (Tracey) Lenac of Asheville, NC, with their children, Evan and Caeden; her sister Dorothy (Larry) Mettille; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ken and Delores Foss, and her sister Shirley (Foss) Hiland.
We will honor Norma in the spring with a small graveside service and celebration of life, as she requested. She will be laid to rest alongside her parents in Ottawa, IL.
