Died: February 19, 2025 in Streator, IL
Norman Lee Perona, 78 of Streator passed away Wednesday (February 19, 2025) at the ARC of Streator.
A celebration of life will be held Friday from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Country Cupboard Restaurant @ 124 S. Vermillion St. Streator
Norm was born on July 23, 1946, in Spring Valley to Peter and Doris (Rennau) Perona. He married Mary Ann Kleiber on July 23, 1996. She survives.
Also surviving are daughters, Ginger (Ron) Armstrong and Joann (Brett) Wyatt both of Streator, 4 grandchildren, LeighAnn (Mike) Vickers, John "Tony" (Angela) Zmia, Mia and Mandi Wyatt, 6 great grandchildren, brothers, Peter Perona of Indiana and Steve Perona of Toluca and a sister Kathy Halleran of Royalton, IL
He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter April Perona, brothers Donald and Ronald.
Norm attended Toluca grade school and graduated from Toluca High School in 1963. He served in the US Army. Norm retired as a union carpenter from local #195. He was a softball coach for many years and was a avid fisherman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

To the family of norm, he was a great storyteller, and coffee friend. Many good visits at grumps, and he also was a great craftsman , i will forever remember stormin norm the fisherman of many ! He had my daughter draw a shelf she would like(tested her skill) and 2 weeks later he built it for her! We will forever remember our friend norm! Condolenses and hugs to the family who was blessed to call him dad & husbsnd...
