Richard "Dick" Cross
Born: September 18, 1940 in Ottawa, IL
Died: May 7, 2022 in Manteca, CA
Richard "Dick" Cross 81 passed away in his home in Manteca Ca. On May 7th 2022.
A Celebration of life will be held for Dick and Jason Mattes on Aug. 27th, 12 pm in the Ottawa American Legion 'Dugout.' Local arrangements are through the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa.
Dick was born Sept. 18th 1940. To Forrest "Bud" and Aldine Cross. Dick lived a life of adventures. He served in the Army 1958-1960. Dick was also a graduate of DeVry University. He retired from LOF, and owned many businesses, such as Farmington General Store, Manteca Bowl, Tracy Bowl, and King Richards. Dick also served on Manteca's City Council and was a former Kiwanis President.
Dick is survived by his wife Jeannie that he married in 1999. His children, Rick (Missy), John (Cheryl), Mike (Robyn), and Annette (Art). Stepchildren Jen and Matt (Dominique). 7 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. His sisters, Nancy (Joe) Smallbone, Karen (Ray) Mattes, Debbie (Merle) Farrell, Donna (Mike) Gage, and Vicki "Carlos" Perez.
Dick enjoyed life to the fullest, travelled all over the world, enjoyed gambling, good restaurants, and making people laugh.
