Died: October 25, 2025 in Olney, IL.
Richard A. Senko, 80, of Streator passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, Illinois.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 A.M. Thursday, October 30th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Visitation will be from 9-11:30 A.M. Thursday, October 30th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Burial will be in the Russian Orthodox Cemetery, Streator. Pallbearers will be, Jerry and Jake Orr; Mike and Joe Senko; Jake Miller and Max O'Brien.
Born January 23, 1945 in Streator he was the son of Andrew and Mary (Urichko) Senko. He married Mary Lou James on October 12, 1984.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Senko of Streator; daughters, Amy (Jerry) Orr of Streator and Lisa Kybartas of Mokena; a brother, Michael Senko of Streator; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; nephews, Michael (Kelly) Senko and Joe (Ellen) Senko; great nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Marilyn Senko and a sister-in-law, Dena Senko.
Born and raised in Streator he attended St. Stephen's Grade School and graduated from Woodland High School in the class of 1963.
Rich was a Bricklayer/Mason and a member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 79 for over 60 years.
He was a member of the former St. Stephen's Church and currently belonged to St. Michael the Archangel Church. He was also a member of the Streator Moose Lodge and the Streator Eagles Club.
Rich loved staying busy and enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and canning. He also enjoyed spending time in Olney camping and Cheyenne, Wyoming for the rodeos. He spent his winters in Homestead, Florida.
