Ronald Arroyo, 78, of Ottawa, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Pleasant View Lutheran Home.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 20, from 3:00 until 6:00pm at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 401 W. Main St., Ottawa, IL 61350. A celebration of life will follow at 6:00pm with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded to Ottawa Funeral Home.
Ronald was born January 29, 1944, in Ottawa, Il, to Frank and Catherine (Almeda) Arroyo. He married Susan Rosencranz on October 31, 1980 in Morris. She passed away July 29, 2016.
Ron loved sports. Every Sunday he could be found in his chair watching sports. He also never missed an opportunity to attend his kids or grandkid's sporting events. He enjoyed playing cards with his friends. He was a 50 year member of Laborers Local 393 and a member of the Moose.
He is survived by his children, Ron (Gina) Arroyo, Cathy Arroyo-Davis, Jeff (Crystal Guerrero) Arroyo, and Joe Rosencranz; his grandchildren, Nathan and Gabriel Davis, Christian Arroyo, Tyler "Ty" Arroyo and twin boys, Jordan and Payton Arroyo; his great granddaughter, Rachael Arroyo; and his siblings, Connie Boswell, Frankie Arroyo, and Linda (Rick) Schaibley.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, and his siblings, Lillian and Davey Arroyo.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Knights of Columbus.
