Rosemary Ann Godfrey, 95, of Streator passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Heritage Health and Senior Care, Streator.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 A.M. Tuesday, May 24th at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator.
Visitation will be from 9-11 A.M. Tuesday, May 24th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Streator. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Brandon and Jordan Godfrey; and friends, Jim Houch, Tony Halko and Jim Andree. Honorary pallbearers will be, Jim, Dave and Russell Artman.
Born December 30, 1926 in Streator she was the daughter of John and Mary (Yedinak) Butterly. She married Harry R. Godfrey on October 10, 1953 at Immaculate Conception Church in Streator. He preceded her in death on July 13, 2012.
She is survived by sons, Dave Godfrey of Ottawa, John Godfrey of Providence, Rhode Island and Harry (Tami) Godfrey of Streator; grandchildren, Brandon and Jordan Godfrey.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.
Born and raised in Streator she attended Grant Grade School and graduated from Streator High School.
She worked through the years for St. Mary's Hospital as a unit secretary in pediatrics and then worked in the personnel office. She later worked for Union Bank for many years as one of the "statement ladies".
She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. She also volunteered at St. Mary's Hospital in her retirement.
